Little Miss Knox County for 2008 was Megan Pentz, daughter of Lee Anne and Ryan Pentz of Mount Vernon and a student at Dan Emmett Elementary.

Layne Lepley, daughter of J. Christopher and Shelly Lepley of Mount Vernon, and a student at St. Vincent de Paul Elementary, was named third runner-up.

MacKenzie Rayburn, daughter of Eric and Misty Rayburn of Mount Vernon, and a student at Pleasant Street Elementary, was named second runner-up.

Helseighanne Thomas, a student at the Seventh-day Adventist Academy Elementary, was named first runner-up. She is the daughter of Ty and Heatherlyn Thomas of Mount Vernon.

The 17th Annual Little Miss Knox County Fair Contest

Sunday at 2:00 P.M., July 26, 2009 on the Midway Stage

Entries must be received no later than July 15, 2009.
Entries will be limited to the first 40 names received according to postmark.

1. Any 7-year-old girl (as of July 1, 2009) residing in Knox County may enter.

2. A long red, white and/or blue dress is required.

Judging will be based on a two-minute stage interview, poise, and appearance.  All girls will receive a participant’s trophy and a cash prize.  The top four finalists will receive tiaras, trophies and cash prizes in the amount of $100, $75, $50 and $25 for their respective places.
